Establishing a virtual network of project management specialists across all areas of the UK business for a major accounting firm, developing organisational project and programme management capability (the creation of a ‘virtual Programme Office’).


We created a web presence on the firm’s intranet which held extensive information including members/qualifications, case studies, training sources and reference materials. From an initial 6 founder members, we grew the user base to some 200.

We distributed a CDROM toolkit containing a catalogued and sortable range of around 300 project management tools and templates. Three new toolkits covering portfolio management, programme management and project office were then added. International links were formed to secure the roll out of tools, method and training on a global basis.

We also established close links with, and corporate membership of, BPUG and the Association for Project Management.
